Shanxi Tangrenju Classical Home Furnishings Culture Co., Ltd. was founded in 1989 and is the first domestic classical furniture production enterprise specializing in traditional "Jin-style" furniture making techniques. Starting from purchasing, selling, and collecting classical furniture, the company has, after over 30 years of development, expanded its business into six sectors: antique furniture restoration, creative furniture, rosewood furniture, bamboo furniture, accessory and handicraft processing and manufacturing, and ancient architectural wood structures. It has also established a cultural tourism system including the Southern Shanxi Folk Custom Exhibition Hall, Jin-style Furniture Exhibition Hall, Cultural and Creative Fine Products Hall, Ming and Qing Architecture Experience Hall, Jin-style Furniture Museum, and Intangible Cultural Heritage Master Studio. In 2011, Tangrenju's "Jin-style Classical Furniture Making Technique" was listed by the State Council in the fourth batch of national intangible cultural heritage protection catalog. In early 2023, Tangrenju Home Furnishings Cultural Park was approved as a national AAA-level tourist attraction.

        Over years of development, Tangrenju has received numerous honors. In 2010, it was listed by the Shanxi Provincial Government as one of the "Top Ten Cultural Brands of Shanxi"; in 2011, the Tangrenju trademark was rated as a "Famous Trademark of Shanxi Province" by the Shanxi Provincial Administration for Industry and Commerce; in 2012, it was designated as a "Furniture Supplier for the Great Hall of the People" and a "Provincial-level Intangible Cultural Heritage Productive Protection Demonstration Base" in Shanxi Province; in 2013, it was awarded "Advanced Unit" by the Shanxi Provincial Department of Culture, "Grade A Enterprise for Quality and Reputation in Shanxi Province" by the Shanxi Provincial Bureau of Quality and Technical Supervision, and recognized as an "Advanced Unit in Arts and Crafts of Shanxi Province"; in 2014, it was granted the title of "Specialized, Refined, Unique, and Innovative SME" by the Shanxi Provincial SME Bureau; in 2015, it was elected as a council member of the Third China Arts and Crafts Association; in 2023, it received the honor of "National Civilized Unit" and was later identified as a demonstration-leading enterprise for the "Provincial Key Professional Town of Jin-style Classical Furniture"; in 2024, it was designated as a "National Cultural Industry Demonstration Base". It also provides practical training services for renowned domestic universities such as the Central Academy of Fine Arts, Tsinghua University Academy of Fine Arts, Shanxi University of Technology, and North University of China.

        The founder of Tangrenju, Cao Yunjian, has dedicated years to the inheritance and development of Jin-style furniture. He is a national representative inheritor of the "Jin-style Furniture Making Technique", a senior craft artist, and has been selected as one of the first batch of national rural crafts masters. In 2014, his product won the Bronze Award at the "China Original·Hundred Flowers Cup" China Arts and Crafts Fine Products Award; in 2018, the octagonal bamboo chair "Longevity Higher than the Mountains" won the Silver Award at the "2018 Hundred Flowers Cup" China Arts and Crafts Fine Products Award, among various other awards. Cao Yunjian has long been enthusiastic about cultural endeavors, having organized five intangible cultural heritage festivals to promote traditional intangible cultural heritage; established a research and study base to promote Chinese classical culture; and founded a classical home furnishings culture museum and interactive experience hall to promote classical home furnishings culture. He has served as a guest professor at the Linfen Municipal Cadre Academy and Shanxi Forestry Vocational and Technical College, a council member of the China Arts and Crafts Association, and vice president of the Woodworking Skills Professional Committee of the China Workers' Technical Association, among other positions. In April 2017, he was honored as a "Good Samaritan of China".
